When we founded La Saint, we knew we wanted to do things differently that went beyond our production process. We wanted to give back and share our power with women all over the world. And not just at some point in the future – we want it NOW.
As a result, we’ve chosen to partner up with UN Women – an international organization that’s fully dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls worldwide – and to donate a portion of our proceeds in support of their projects for Economic Empowerment.
Their programmes provide women with valuable tools, such as educational opportunities and economic stability – giving them the power to shape their own destinies and be active participants in driving social change. As a female-led company, we’ve managed to close the gender gap for ourselves, but we also realize that most women aren’t as lucky. Closing the gender gap
Even in the Western regions, we’re all too familiar with gender discrimination: women often receive lower wages, end up in insecure jobs and only very rarely end up in senior positions. As a female-led company, we’ve managed to close the gender gap for ourselves, but we also realize that most women aren’t as lucky. Supporting the economic empowerment of girls and women worldwide is our way of giving back.
We passionately believe that investing in women’s economic empowerment is the first step towards gender equality, the eradication of poverty and inclusive economic growth. And once that’s done… Well, even world domination won’t be a stretch!
